About

The 2012-2013 Hudson Valley Hurricanes 14U Black team is a competitive "A" level fastpitch softball team comprised of girls from NY and NJ. This 2nd year 14U team is managed by Kristen Sullivan and coach Alycia Rodriguez. They will play a 16U/18U fall season with an aggressive spring/ summer tournament schedule with the goal to compete at ASA "A" Nationals in Normal, IL at the end of the season.

During 2011-2012 the 1st year 14U Black team playing an aggressive schedule earned two tournament championships, four runner-up titles and four 3rd place finishes. One of the championship titles included the 14U USSSA NY State Championship and a runner up title at the PONY North Atlantic Regional. At the 2012 ASA 14U "A" Eastern Nationals the team earned a 7th place finish overall competing with some of the best teams in the region from over 10 different states. The final cumulative record for this 1st year 14U team playing in 14U, 16U & 18U tournaments was 87-30-7.

During 2010-2011, at 12U, the team under Kristen Sullivan earned 9 tournament championships and comprised a cumulative record of 85-11-1 (W-L-T). Titles include the NY State PONY Championship and the PONY North Atlantic Regional Championship. At the 2011 PONY Nationals they went 5-2 earning a spot in the Sweet 16 and tied for 9th place overall.
